The Gardeners Call

Licensee Peter Workman (seen left) and his partner Li Wan have been running The Gardeners Call in High Town since February 2008, and during that time they have transformed it into the favourite Luton pub it is today.

Always a popular & friendly pub from years gone by, they have introduced an extensive  sports package, showing virtually all live sport, from football to rugby, cricket & motor sport.  This together with an ever changing food offer which gives traditional pub grub complimented by Li's forte of Chinese cuisine, which is available to eat in or takeaway, and is proving very popular, with Li even cooking customer favourites that aren't even on the menu!

In addition to this, Peter's passion is for Real Ale, and The Gardeners regularly offers upto 5 different Real Ale's, and are recognised in the  CAMRA "Good Beer Guide".

The pub boasts a fine array of teams that play out of it, with 3 pool teams of varying standard, a darts team and 2 Sunday league football sides, so there is always something happening at The Gardeners.

Peter & Li are always on hand, along with their helpful staff to give a friendly welcome, and to ensure a friendly atmosphere.
